Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Why are these Amendments necessary?
    Laws are currently being considered, proposed and passed, which will prohibit speaking out against certain things which the Bible clearly says are sins. It will soon be a crime, hate crime or otherwise unlawful to publicly share viewpoints consistent with the Word of God that clearly declares these sins. We are making an organized effort to protect and insure our ability to share the whole counsel of God's Word without fear of punishment, persecution or imprisonment.

  2. Why do you list so many sins, and so many ways and means to share your faith?
    We believe that one sin is as another. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, any sin will separate us from God. The Amendment language requires that we be specific and thorough in describing all areas of concern and all areas requiring protection of speech. We do not focus on one particular sin, only the need of all people to repent of their sins and to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

  3. Why don't we just share the love and forgiveness of Christ?
    Won't these Amendments be divisive?
    The Bible says that the cross is an offense to those who are perishing. God is a God of love, mercy and grace, but He is also a righteous judge and must judge the sin. It is loving, and showing the love of God, to declare the full counsel of God's Word. God warns us in His Word because He loves us. He tells us what is sin and that we need to repent of our sin. He also tells us that we can have forgiveness of our sins, by repenting and receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

  4. Why do we need the Amendments?
    Don't we already have this protection and these rights of freedom of speech?
    Our rights are quickly eroding as laws are being passed and judges are changing what the founding fathershave established. We had these rights. Many want to take God and His Word completely out of public life. All we want is the constitutional right to share our faith, share Jesus Christ, share the full counsel of God's Word. We are slowly being prevented from doing that. The right to worship and teach God's Word without it being a crime, in the church, on the street, etc. We are to obey Jesus Christ and His Word, the Lord instructs us to go to the highways and byways and invite them to the wedding.

    "The Lord is my light and my salvation;
    Whom shall I fear?
    The Lord is the strength of my life;
    O whom shall I be afraid"

    For those of you who are contemplating helping us or are still undecided here is the biblical basis as well as the constitutional basis for the recently approved amendment by the California Attorney General and Secretary of State. Our State government has approved for us to start gathering signatures for a good reason.

    In the United States the right to petition is guaranteed by the First Amendment to the federal constitution, which specifically prohibits Congress from abridging "the right of the petition the Government for a redress of grievances as with the recent petition that has been filled in the case of the boys having to share restrooms with the girls. As Christians we have filed an amendment to say to our State and our country we will not be pressured to justify evil even if the Supreme Court does; be that gay marriage, boys having to share restrooms with the girls or any other sin that violates our liberty of conscience based on biblical authority. The amendment clarifies our right to proclaim the full council of God's Word without it being a crime, hate crime or discrimination. In essence we are saying, you choose to the people of our State and our nation. You choose, but as for me and my house we will serve the Lord. We are joining together as Pastor Chuck exhorted us to in his video clip to at least get it on the ballot. That's it.

    The accusation from some is that we are trying to legislate Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father. To that we would say, "Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father" and whether it is part of our legislation or not its true and that we are simply presenting it for the people to choose.

    Just to be clear so there is no misunderstanding, the amendment does not force people to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord, it just maintains no person shall be forced from proclaiming him as Lord or be forbidden to preach out against what the Bible forbids as sin. The Scriptures declare God rules in the kingdom of men and our government has given us the right to worship the Lord without interference since its inception. The US Constitution states, "Congress shall make no laws respecting the establishment of religion nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof”.

    Our state constitution, unlike our Federal Constitution, leaves out the part about Congress making no laws prohibiting the free exercise of religion and has everything falling under the peace and safety of the state instead. We see this as a potential trap and recognize this language that was first used by Adolf Hitler. So the amendment removes the peace and safety of state clause and puts back in what the U.S. Constitution says about Congress not making any laws that would prohibiting the free exercise of religion. We know that the peace and safety of the state clause could be misinterpreted by liberal judges to mean discrimination and therefore our freedom of religion would no longer be protected. We agree with the idea of the peace and safety of the state but that is already covered in the section we have added under subtitle e): These provisions shall not be construed to authorize actions prohibited by Section 302, Section 602.11 and Section 11412 of the Penal Code. In other words people won't be allowed to do criminal acts under the auspice of using the Bible as their authority.

    This way our liberal state government can still be held accountable to its prohibiting the free exercise of our religion and we will still have protections for the peace and safety of the state as well. This amendment clarifies what is meant by prohibiting our free exercise of religion and that Christians, pastors or any other groups or organizations will not be punished or good withheld from them such as loss of tax exempt status, fines or jail due if we are simply holding to our biblical convictions. To read the full amendment in its entirety you can go here.
    In closing let me just say that yes persecution will come but we are still to resist the devil in spite of that and expect our government to do the same. The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to me, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. 2 Sam 2:23. This is what our Founding Fathers meant by One nation under God. Romans 13 states that governments exist to punish the evil and reward the good. Not the opposite.

    Even if the amendment has no chance of passing at least people will see there was a standard that was held up by the Christian community giving them the opportunity to accept or reject it. At least we won't be good for nothing but to be trodden under by our failure to be salt. Pastor Chuck stated his reasoning for this in his letter posted on our web site, that we ought to obey God rather than man as Peter was told when they forbid him to speak in Jesus name. As Peter we are simply objecting rather than trying to force the establishment of Christianity as the official religion of the state. As Peter we are clarifying for them what it means to step beyond and prohibit our free exercise and violate our own U.S. constitutional mandate as well as the one God created for government in 2 Sam 23:2; To rule justly.

    We know that Christ will return and accomplish that ultimately but ruling justly till then would mean they get that rule from God as our framers intended it to be. One Nation under God. We know God allows the evil such as when they crucified the Lord but he never justifies it nor should we by our lack of action. To him that knows to do right and does it not to him it is sin.
    John the Baptist warned Herod who was King that what he was doing was not lawful to have his brother’s wife.

    Jesus warned Pilate that he who delivered him had the greater sin. To him that knows to do good and does it not, it is sin. Christians should be involved in warning and seeking to have righteous people and righteous laws in place. Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
    People and governments really look to Christians to hold the standard when everything is falling apart. As Nebuchadnezzar and his princes with the Hebrew boys and Daniel who was active in the government of his day. Esther as well.

    Governments are either going to call people to live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God or they are not. God called Nineveh to repent and not to some form of separation of Church and State.

    God is calling America to repent and he can do that through any means he chooses. So please pray about it to get confirmation as Pastor Chuck did and believed this to be from the Lord. We each need to be fully persuaded in our own minds. As Pastor Chuck exhorted us lets at least get it on the ballot. So let’s do that. We have 5 months to get it on the ballot.
    Please go here and fill out the info to get started. Thank you and let’s remember if God be for us who can be against us:)
